The New Jersey Devils announced Wednesday they had re-signed veteran defenseman Jay Leach, an Altamont native who came to the Albany Devils from the Worcester Sharks in the second half of last season.
Leach played 16 games with the Albany Devils, accumulating a goal, three assists and a plus-4 rating. In 50 games with Worcester, he had a goal, four assists and a minus-4 rating.
He was recalled to New Jersey for NHL duty March 26 and finished out the season with the parent club, playing seven games.Read the full story here.
